Sunday Practice / Clinic
April 18, 2010 – August 29 (19 Sundays) 2 - 4 pm Danehy Park, Cambridge. We will play on Field #1 (closest to the main parking lot) in April, May and June. We will play on the Turf field in July and August.
Each year our core activity has centered around our Sunday practices at Danehy Park located in Cambridge by the Alewife T-station and Fresh Pond. Sunday practices are a great way for all skill levels to socialize, make new friends, gain some skills by participating in drills and having fun by playing in full field scrimmages. Beginning on April 18 and continuing through August 29, our practices will be geared towards soccer for all skill levels with 3 special clinics (one per month) scheduled.
If you are new to the Strikers, your first Sunday is on us. If weather is questionable, check our hotline before heading to the field. Wear sensible clothing for the weather (shorts and t-shirt in the summer) and bring cleats, shin guards, and a bottle of water.

Season 1 7v7 Recreational League
May 19 thru July 28 8pm - 9:30pm, at Rotch Field in the South End.
The seven on seven recreational league was a great success the past 3 years and we are thrilled to announce Season One 7v7 this spring.
Balanced intramural teams based on ability level will be formed for the season. Games will be 60 - 80 minutes in length (30 - 40 minutes per half). Please arrive before 8 for warm up. Go to the calendar for more information and directions to the field.
We anticipate at least 36 players to join and it will be first come first served. Members enjoy a $10 discount for Spring Season 1.

The Boston Strikers Absolutely Fabulous Pride Cup
KICK OFF Boston Pride 2010 by playing in the Boston Strikers 7v7 Pride Cup!
4 FABULOUS teams will play—each dedicated to an LGBTQ icon: THE LEATHER DADDIES, DYKES TO WATCH OUT FOR, DIVAS, and SHAKE YOUR MONEY MAKERS!
The soccer competition will be fierce and so will the outfits! Get ready for leather harnesses and corner kicks! GRRRL power! and DEFENSE! Platinum wigs and golden goals! Hot pants and handballs! And everyone’s favorite—hot shirtless referees!
All skill levels, genders, and orientations welcomed! (Players must be at least 18 years old). We are looking for players to bring their SOCCER SKILLS and show their PRIDE!

Season 2 6v6 Recreational League
September 12 – October 31 (Sundays) 2-4 pm Danehy Park, Cambridge
Season 2 of 6v6 will begin on Sunday, September 12 at Danehy Field #1 in Cambridge. Players may elect to participate in Season 2 as part of a 'Full Sundays' subscription, or as an À La Carte item. As with Season 1, intramural teams will be formed for Season 2, and will be balanced based on player ability level. The games will be 60 to 80 minutes in length.
Fee: $20 member / $25 non-member (Sundays Sept 7 – Oct 5)

Members enjoy reduced rates for most activities as well as having an opportunity to vote for board members, so if you are not a member, you can become one when you register for an activity on the registration page.
